Tara was first introduced to yoga whilst studying for her degree in English Literature. Initially she was looking for a way to stretch which complemented her running routine but quickly discovered that yoga offered much more than a stretch session. The beneficial affect on her physical and mental wellbeing was a revelation and running was abandoned in order to focus on the practice of yoga. On moving to Devon from London, Tara decided to take her love of yoga to the next level and began training with Andrea Durant (BWY Foundation Course) to deepen her knowledge. This was followed by an Independent Yoga Network 500 hour Teacher Training Course with the Devon School of Yoga.
Tara’s approach is relaxed and light-hearted. Students are taken through a flowing series of postures which are held long enough to improve strength and flexibility whilst using breath control to balance the nervous system and calm the mind.
Tara teaches weekly classes in Exeter and is also available for corporate and private classes.
